IELP offers you:
- Small, intimate classes for more individual attention
- 20 hours of English instruction and a variety of interesting activities and events
- Computer and audio labs
- Six levels of instruction from high-beginner to advanced (If you are coming to study with us on an F-1 (student) visa, we recommend that you have a basic knowledge of English.)

| Advantages of being an IELP Student |

- No TOEFL is required to be admitted to a UNO degree program
- Advanced English placement at UNO is determined by the results of your final exit exam from the IELP
- Use of UNO campus facilities including the fitness center, library, computer and language laboratories, and the University Student Center

| Classes & Schedule |
| |
- You will attend classes in grammar, writing, reading, listening, and speaking
- Our full-time schedule is Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. (classes end early on Fridays, between 11:00 and 1:00, depending on the schedule)
- Students who are not here with F-1 (student) visas can choose to study part-time (10 hours per week). They can study either Grammar/Writing in the morning or Reading/Listening/Speaking in the afternoon.

| Audio and Computer Labs |
| |
|
 |
- The audio lab offers you the opportunity to improve listening and pronunciation skills at your own pace
- The computer lab offers you the chance to use computers as a tool to improve your language skills
|

|
| Placement, Evaluation, and Certificates |
| |
- You will take a placement test when you enter the IELP
- Examination scores, homework, lab work, classroom performance, and attendance will be used to measure your achievement
- Student-teacher conferences and mid-term reports will be used to evaluate your progress
- Each session, upon successful completion of all requirements, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement along with your final report
- Students who finish Level 6 will receive a Certificate of Program Completion

| Requirements for Admission to the IELP |
| |
- You must be at least 17 years old
- You must be a high-school graduate
- You or your sponsor must provide proof of financial support (F-1 students only)
|

VISA DOCUMENTS (F-1 student only) |
| |
- The IELP will issue a Form I-20 (valid for a 12-month stay) to eligible international students
- Students who pay the SEVIS fee to the IELP will receive an official receipt from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
