Kimberly Navarro is the Program Coordinator for the IELP. As an undergraduate, she studied Drama and Communications at the University of Missouri, spent a semester in London, and graduated from Drury University with a BA with Honors in English. She later received her Master’s degree from Tulane University where she studied English language and Linguistics. She has taught ESL in Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro and used to own a language school in New Orleans. She speaks some Portuguese and is currently working on her Spanish (her husband is from Colombia). Kim loves traveling, reading, dancing, and taking walks with her dogs, Juna and Cali. But these days most of her time is spent with her 2-year-old son, Nicolas. “He’s such a lucky little guy,” she says. “He’s going to grow up surrounded by IELP students and will have ‘family’ all around the world!” |
